The Apostles’, Nicene and the Athanasian Creeds, the Unaltered Augsburg Confession, the Book of Concord of 1580, the Smalcald Articles and Luther’s Small Catechism.

Our Statement of Faith

       OSLC confesses faith in the Triune God: the Father Who is the creator and sustainer of the universe; the Son, Jesus, the Christ, our Lord and Savior Who died and rose again for the redemption of all people; and the Holy Spirit, Who calls, gathers, enlightens and sanctifies the Christian Church and preserves it in union with Jesus, the Christ, in the faith.

     OSLC also accepts by the approval of the Council, the canonical Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God and the only infallible authority in all matters of faith and life.

     As true statements of the doctrine of the Word of God, OSLC accepts the following:

                           XInstruct the youth and provide for their spiritual welfare, (Matthew 19:13-14) 

                           X Witness to the community, nation and world, (II Timothy 2:15, Acts 1:18)

                           X Support one another in prayer, (James 5:16)

                           X Help those in need, (I John 3:17) 

                           X And practice responsible stewardship. (I Peter 4:10-11)
